2023 Annual Meeting of China Association of Geriatric Health Care Eye Care Professional Committee and Ophthalmic Artificial Intelligence Academic Conference Successfully Concluded

Eye health care is one of the important fields of geriatric health care. With the aggravation of the aging process in China and the deepening of the degree of aging, the incidence of age-related eye diseases has increased significantly, which has brought a serious impact on the life of the elderly and a heavy burden on the society. Artificial intelligence, as a rapidly developing cutting-edge technology in recent years, is being widely used in the medical field. The research and application of ophthalmic AI can not only improve the diagnosis and treatment level of ophthalmologists, but also realize the early screening and precise treatment of eye diseases. Therefore, in order to further improve the ability and level of ophthalmologists in dealing with eye diseases in the elderly population, the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Eye Care Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Geriatric Health Care and Ophthalmic Artificial Intelligence Symposium, which was sponsored by the Chinese Association for Geriatric Health Care and organized by the Eye Care Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Geriatric Health Care, was successfully held in Beijing on Dec. 2023 The conference was successfully held on December 1, 2023 in Beijing. The conference invited many nationally recognized first-line ophthalmology clinical experts to have in-depth discussions and exchanges mainly on the diagnosis and treatment experience of eye diseases in the elderly and the application of artificial intelligence in the field of ophthalmology. It is hoped that the wisdom and experience of experts and scholars in ophthalmology can be brought together to discuss the latest research results and treatments for the eye health of the elderly, and to provide better eye care services for the elderly.
