Before starting the production of surgical gowns and surgical drapes, the factory's quality management department will conduct industrial tests on the non-woven fabrics produced, including hydrostatic pressure, mullenburst, water impact, air permeability and so on.
The following is an introduction to related experiments:
Hydrostatic Pressure
Measures the resistance of fabrics to thepenetration of water under constantly increasing hydrostatic pressure. Indicates how material will perform underexternal pressure of fluids accumulation on fabric.
Water Impact
Measures the resistance of fabrics to thepenetration of water by spray impact. Indicates how the material will performwhen fluids fall or splash onto the fabric.
Air Permeability
Measures the flow of air through anon-impervious material as a specific pressure differential. Indicates the material's breathabilityand coolness during use.
W.V.T.R
Measures the rate of water vaportransmission (W.V.T.R.) through a fabric. Indicates the material's comfort level.
Basis Weight
Determines the weight of the fabricstructure.
Elmendorf Tear
Measures the resistance of fabrics totear under a controlled force.Indicates the material's resistance totearing when there is an initial tear in the material.
Grab Tensile
Measures the resistance of fabrics tobreak under an increasing pulling stress. Indicates the material's resistance tobreaking when there is no initial tear in the material.
Mullenburst
Measures the resistance of fabrics topuncture under increasing pressure. Indicates the material's resistance toblunt puncture.
Absorptive Capacity
Determines the volume of fluid absorbedby a fabric. Indicates how absorbent a fabric is.
Alcohol Repellency
Measures the resistance of fabrics topenetration by aqueous isopropyl alcohol solutions.Indicates how the material will performwhen alcohol, blood and body fluid comes in contact with the fabric.
