8. When all items are counted before the start of surgery, the visiting nurse should repeat the names and quantities of the items recorded on the "Surgical Instruments and Dressings Register" and reconfirm with the hand-washing nurse to prevent recording errors.
9. The instrument nurse should check the completeness of all kinds of instrument dressings before and after using them.
10. Timely count and record the additional items used in surgery.
11. Before leaving the operating room after surgery, the surgical nurse should count the number of surgical items and check the integrity of the items again, and leave only after it is accurate.
12. If items are still left in the patient's body after surgery due to the condition of the patient, the hand-washing nurse and the visiting nurse must confirm with the surgeon the name, quantity, and location of the items, and accurately record and sign.
