Disposable medical laryngeal mask
2023-10-27

Before the invention of laryngeal mask in 1980, there were two methods for maintaining the airway: face mask and tracheal intubation. Usually, anesthesiologists prefer the non-invasive ventilation method of mask, but the reliability of airway maintenance cannot be fully guaranteed. Moreover, maintaining the mask in place also requires skills and physical strength, which forces anesthesiologists to focus on the movements of the mask and cannot pay attention to the more important anesthesia management itself. If mask ventilation cannot be guaranteed or a more reliable ventilation method is needed, tracheal intubation becomes the only choice for anesthesiologists. However, the serious consequences of difficult intubation and the possible complications caused by indwelling tracheal catheters have also become a long-term problem that troubles clinical anesthesia.
Laryngeal mask is used for general anesthesia surgery to ensure smooth breathing for patients. It can also seal the throat cavity and throat cavity, preventing secretions from entering the throat cavity and affecting the respiratory function of patients under general anesthesia. The central respiratory channel of the laryngeal mask is directly connected to the throat cavity, and the distal end is connected to a ventilator to maintain patient breathing. Laryngeal mask, unlike tracheal intubation, is inserted into the trachea through the larynx to avoid damaging the laryngeal cavity, causing dislocation of the cricoarytenoid joint, and avoiding damage to the tracheal mucosa. It is suitable for general anesthesia surgeries on other parts of the body except for upper respiratory surgery.
Applicability
Patients undergoing general anesthesia and using muscle relaxants;
Patients with sudden cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, respiratory muscle paralysis, and respiratory depression;
Ventilation dysfunction caused by various reasons: coma, poisoning, intracranial diseases, neuromuscular diseases, multiple rib fractures, tracheal tumors, and acute respiratory obstruction;.
Respiratory arrest in patients with respiratory failure, severe coma, and other respiratory dysfunction.
Product Features
1. Easy to operate, without the need for laryngoscopy and muscle relaxants to be inserted;
2. Quick intubation, easy for relevant operators to learn and operate, and can establish an artificial airway in 10 seconds;
3. Shaping conforms to the anatomical and physiological curve of the throat, with good fit during use;
4. Selected medical grade silicone with good biocompatibility;
