The correct way to wear latex gloves is to prevent hand injuries, protect your hands, and protect your safety. So, what are the correct ways to wear it?

1. Wear dry gloves, first dip your hands with talcum powder (or medical starch) to facilitate wearing gloves, hold the inner surface of the glove with your right hand, take out a pair of dry gloves, put your left hand into the left glove first, and then put on the glove. , Put your left hand into the outer circle of the right hand reflex, and then put your right hand into the glove (you can wear the right glove first); pull the reflex of the glove over the cuff without exposing the wrist; before wearing the glove , The hands should not touch the outer surface of the gloves. After wearing the gloves, they should not touch the skin. Afterwards, rinse the talcum powder on the gloves with sterile saline before operation.

2. Wearing double-layer gloves. Wearing double-layer gloves can reduce the chance of the wearer being exposed to danger. If you need to wear double-layer gloves in a specific operation (such as chemotherapy, bone marrow aspiration), you need loose gloves so that you can Put it on top of the other one.

3. Wearing time of gloves :The longer the time of wearing gloves, the more vulnerable the protective barrier will be. The use of gloves under harsh conditions or exposure to a variety of chemicals may cause fatigue of the gloves. Therefore, the gloves should be changed appropriately during the operation. During the operation, if the gloves are damaged or suspected to be contaminated, they should be replaced immediately.

4. Wear wet gloves after hand disinfection, wear gloves while they are wet, take a pair of wet gloves from the gloved basin, put water in the gloves, put your left hand into the gloves, raise your left hand slightly to let the water flow out of your wrist Put it on, then stretch your left hand into the outer circle of the reflexed part and wear the right glove, raise your right hand to make the water flow out of the wrist (the right glove is also acceptable), put on the surgical gown, and turn the glove back to the cuff Do not expose your wrists. Hospitals with conditions should generally not use this method.

5. Changing gloves After touching the suspiciously contaminated area or items of the same patient, the gloves should be changed before touching the mucous membrane. Before touching non-pollutants or needing to dispose of other patients, you should take off your gloves, wash your hands or wash with disinfectant immediately to avoid spreading microorganisms to other patients or objects.

6. Take off the gloves during use, the source of infection will contaminate the outer surface of the gloves. It is very important to remove the gloves correctly. Do not pull the gloves when you take them off. The gloves should be turned over and taken off gently, and the hands should not touch the outside of the gloves as much as possible. The taken off gloves should be disinfected in time and should not be thrown into the waste bucket. Wrongly taking off the gloves may lead to the spread of pollutants outside the gloves. At this time, no matter how good the barrier function is, it is meaningless.
