The scalpel consists of a shank and a removable blade, which is temporarily installed when used. Tool holders are generally typed according to their length and size. One tool holder can be equipped with several different types of blades. The handle is generally stored and sterilized separately from the blade.
There are many types of blades, which can be divided into round knives, machetes and triangle knives according to their shapes; large blades, medium blades and small blades can be divided according to their size.
When loading the blade, use a needle holder to clamp the back of the front end of the blade, align the notch of the blade with the flute in the front of the handle, and pull it back slightly to install it. After use, use a needle holder to hold the back of the blade's tail end, and pull the blade forward slightly to remove it.
Surgical handles are divided into small handles, ordinary handles, and slender handles. The combination with the blade is as follows:
1, 3 # full length 12.5CM, commonly known as small knife handle, used in conjunction with 10,11,12,15 surgical blades for shallow and small cutting.
2, 4 # full length 14CM; commonly known as ordinary knife handle, used in conjunction with surgical blades No. 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and cut in the shallow part.
3, 7 # full length 16CM; commonly known as slender shank, used with 10, 11, 12, 15 surgical blades for deep cutting
