In obstetrics and gynecology, gastrointestinal surgery and other departments to perform part of the operation, in order to prevent ureteral injury, will be pre-operative, intra-operative double J tube, conducive to intraoperative protection of the ureter and postoperative recovery of ureteral function.
Because both ends of the double J-tube have a curled shape, similar to a pig's tail, it is commonly known as the "pig's tail tube". When the double J-tube is inserted into the body, both ends are in a "J" shape, one end is placed in the kidney and the other in the bladder, which is invisible to the naked eye, and its exact position needs to be determined by auxiliary examination. The double J-tube has a good supportive role and internal drainage function, but in fact there are some potential complications.
Preventive measures
1, usually drink more water, when the patient can not drink a lot of water, to ensure adequate infusion volume, to maintain the daily urine volume of more than 2000ml, more flushing the urinary tract and dilute urine, so that the color of urine as far as possible into a clear or light yellow. Observe the color, volume and character of urine, and deal with hematuria, cloudy urine, precipitation and crystals in time, and give bladder irrigation if necessary.
2, postoperative anti-infection treatment is given, while dynamic monitoring of relevant infection indicators, and timely attention to the patient's infection indicators; during the patient's indwelling urinary catheter, the patient should be instructed to learn how to keep the perineum clean and hygienic, in order to prevent retrograde infections in the urinary system, to reduce repeated intubation and to avoid increasing the risk of infection and the formation of urethral mucosal injury, and intubation must be strictly followed by the requirements of aseptic operation; when there is no urinary catheter indwelling To keep the urine unobstructed, be careful not to hold urine.
3, avoid strenuous activities. Do not participate in heavy physical labor, avoid actions that require simultaneous stretching of the limbs and waist, as well as sudden squatting actions. Strenuous activities may lead to double J tube and tissue friction, resulting in bleeding and inflammation.
4, reasonable diet, eat more fresh vegetables, eat less spinach, bamboo shoots, soy products and other foods containing high oxalic acid, try not to drink strong tea, in order to reduce the surface of the double J tube urinary salt deposits, resulting in blockage of the tube. At the same time, do not consume coffee, strong tea, drinks and other beverages.
Regular checkups should be performed after the tube is placed; if the tube is placed for a long period of time, the tube should be replaced regularly and in time.
