A. Disposable medical gloves can be divided into two categories according to the invasive force when used:
(1) Disposable medical examination gloves: Non-invasive sterile procedures for a short period of time (generally less than 60 minutes) for patient care.Because they are only suitable for short periods of operation, examination gloves are usually thinner and not as strong as surgical gloves, and require less force during tearing and elongation than surgical gloves.
(2) Disposable surgical gloves: for invasive surgery.The force requirements for tearing and elongation are more stringent than those for inspecting gloves.
B. Disposable medical gloves can be divided into two categories according to the materials:
(1) gloves made of rubber latex or rubber solution;
(2) gloves made of polyvinyl chloride;
Among them, rubber latex or rubber solution medical gloves can be further subdivided into:
Class 1: Gloves made primarily of natural rubber latex;
Class 2: gloves made primarily of nitrile butadiene rubber latex, neoprene rubber latex, styrene butadiene rubber solution, styrene butadiene rubber emulsion or thermoplastic elastomer solution.
