According to the requirements of the Hospital Sterilisation and Supply Centre Management Code, all instruments, appliances and items reused in the operating theatre should be cleaned, sterilised, disinfected, sterilised and stored for issue by the supply room. Dressing packs include medium sheets, large packs, surgical gowns, small towels and foot covers. The dressing kit has the same role as the instrument kit as an aid on the operating table. Dressing packs should be packed by the supply room, but due to the insufficient floor space and staffing of the supply room, dressing packs in our hospital have always been managed by the operating theatre, packed in the laundry and then sterilised by the supply room. For the sake of more standardised management, with the strong support of the hospital leadership and the Nursing Department, the task of dressing packing was also undertaken by the supply room. This work from planning to implementation to the final completion of the handover of the various departments work together, the transformation of the packing room, the re-acquisition of wrapping cloths and other work has been in the hospital's support of the orderly progress. The handover was completed gradually at the end of this month.
The handover has made the auxiliary packages more standardised and in line with the requirements. In the past, nurses in the operating theatre or workers in the laundry room used to pack the packs because they were operated by non-professionals and the quality of the packs was not standardised. Now the packing is carried out by professional staff in the supply room, the volume and size of the packages are regulated, and the quality of packing and sterilisation has been greatly improved.
